Let's say I want to view the files within a certain website. I don't want to open them, just see what's there. If I go to www.example.com, I will be taken to the index page automatically. If there's no index, I'll just see all the files in the directory. How do I see all the files in the directory if there is an index page?

I'm moving down the street, and I need to get my internet up running at the new place as fast a possible (because of my career). Has anyone had experience with moving and switching DSL and phone service?

How long does it take to activate at the new place?

I'd call Verizon and ask them, but their customer support is so horrendous, that I'd rather not.

If its a router, from where I can check if it has firewall installed.
This modem has small indicator lights with heading: 'link' 'act' ---'ADSL' & again 'link' 'Act' ----'Lan'.

I thought Yahoo was a family safe place.....but when I went to answer some questions today..I was pretty upset by the questions I saw...most of which were "removed by Customer Care" yet still available for viewing!!!!!!!!!! This would not bother me if they did not contain sexually explicit and in some cases ("we need girls for Roman showering") downright offensive.

One day I couldn't access Geocities sites using Internet Explorer. I tried Firefox and got similar results, both just time out trying to load the page. I didn't change any sort of settings at all, what could be the problem?
