Its a file sharing software. What it does is...if you download something from there, you are actually downloading something from someone else's file sharing folder. Limewire creates a file sharing folder on your computer when you install it. Lets say you download program ABC from someone else's computer. ABC will be in your file sharing folder unless you move it. Then when someone looks for file ABC on limewire, and if you have 24/7 connection to the internet, then someone might download ABC from your file sharing folder.
The trick is, you might get viruses because you are trusting other people to have a non-virus file that youre downloading into your own computer.

Limewire allows one to download music files, movie files, image files, and a whole bunch of other stuff found on Limewire user's computers also including x-rated material. There is an option to choose not to share any files which disables any user to download files from your computer. You can still download files, however, you'll be downloading files at your own risk that can contain exe. files that can cause your pc to go crazy and execute undesirable tasks. The majority of the files are okay to download just be cautious! If you choose not to share any files and are lucky not to download any bad files Limewire should not harm your pc in anyway.

LimeWire allows you to download things like music, for free. It's a Peer to Peer network though. Meaning everything you're downloading is SHARED WITH OTHER PEOPLE.
LimeWire is a safe program. However, it's slow and takes up a lot or RAM. I suggest you use Ares instead.
Plus remember to tweak your settings to save the files you download into a more easily accessible folder for yourself.

it allows u to search and download files dat other limewire users have such az music ,,documents..video...pic..

It downloads other people's files to your computer. It doesn't install Spyware or Adware or any other malicious software, but the files you download could be malicious software.
