AFTER MY COMPUTER WAS WIPED CLEAN I TRIED TO INSTALL XP PRO.AND IT FAILED DUE TO FATAL ERROR, CANT INSTALL DATA ERROR (CYCLIC REDUNDANCY CHECK), (C:\WINDOWS\SETUPERR.LOG),AND COULD'NT FIND THE FILE SPECIFIED "D:\I386\ASMS."

i have a disk but it is for windows 98, how do i get it to run. i have tryed contacting primax but their web page cannot be found. this is very frustrating, please someone must know how to run this model of scanner on windows xp it cant be impossible

Everytime I scan in a photo, the photo of it on the computer is full of spots and I have to clean up the image with Photoshop. I doubt water would work, but what are some ways to clean the scanner so it's free of dust?

I have lots of black and white negatives (showing images taken from a microscope). I want to make digital copies of these images, in the past I have used a digital camera attached to a light box to take photos. However this camera is now broken and when I use our scanner to scan in the images they come out too dark.

I need a scanner which shines light through the negative and takes the image from the top. I'm not to bothered about fancy resolution or anything as I'm not making pictures just storing the images. There seems to be a large range of very confusing choices, so any suggestions of a good cheap model.

I have just reinstalled the drivers for the hardware and it still will not scan or work. It shows that the printer is connected and (OK) but when i use scan gear or MP navigator to scan anything it says scanning failed. please help this is so anoying, i cant get any of my work onto my PC (drawings)

it might sound foolish but then, i've never owned a scanner so i'm completely ignorant. do you need an ink for the scanner to work? i think no but i might be wrong. does it run on electricity? batteries?

oh, and since i'm planning to finnaly get one, what are the things i need to consider? how do i choose an affordable yet good scanner? thank you.

im installing fresh windows xp pro sp1 but during the setup it says im missing I386\KDCOM.DLL error code 4 , well now what do I do i dont have any boot disks and it already formated this once then it shut down because of power outage and then when it went back to boot from cd only i tried and this is only what i get now please help
