I have just reinstalled the drivers for the hardware and it still will not scan or work. It shows that the printer is connected and (OK) but when i use scan gear or MP navigator to scan anything it says scanning failed. please help this is so anoying, i cant get any of my work onto my PC (drawings)

There are some things you can do about that:

1. Close printer from its switch and open again then try.
2. Try another USB cable.
3. Check out USB ports, if possible plugin to another port.
4. For a device fault check, try installing your printer to a different PC.
5. Replace device.
