Ok so here is the deal, I am kind of a noob on this subject so I am asking to get the best results. I have a Dell Precision M70 with Windows Vista Ultimate. I would like to be able to hook up a LCD TV, to use as the monitor, and watch the Media Center. I have been looking at Toshiba 32 inch LCD TV's, and the Hauppauge WinTV PVR-150 MCE Kit - TV tuner / video input adapter - PCI to allow myself to access all the Media Center Features. I need to know the following: Which LCD TV is a good choice, what cables I need to purchase to get a good quality display, and will the laptop display still remain on when hooked up to LCD TV ?

I'm looking for a 24" LCD monitor to use as a monitor for laptop and to play 360 on (both in full HD), it needs to have HDMI too... and at least 1080i !

Note: I do not want a TV, but a monitor!

I'm having a problem with my monitor. One day, I turned my computer off, and the Monitor immediately went into "Power save" mode. I did not set my computer to do this, and it took me forever to get it out of this mode. When I was finally able to do so, and was able to get back to my desktop, everything there was huge and blurry. I finally figured out it was the screen resolution, so I went in and tried to change it to a lower resolution. I changed it, and it made the change, but as soon as I did, it went right back to the huge blurry screen. Nothing I do will work and my graphics are all messed up. It just will not stay changed to the lower resolution. I've started the computer in safe mode to change the resolution, and other things, but nothing is working. The computer works just fine, but the graphics are grainy and blurry, and it looks a real mess. Anyone know what could be wrong? Should I buy a new monitor, video/graphics card, or just a new computer entirely?

I have an old computer and my husband did something to make the monitor go completely black. I am not sure if the hard drive still works or not, we bought a new computer. Should I try to sell it or just dispose of it? If so how do I remove all of my info before someone else gets it? I am not really good with computers, so easy to understand terms would be appreciated.

I am putting a computer in my van because I am going to try and live/camp out in it. The only concern I have is with the LCD display. I live in Tennessee and am not sure how sensitive to heat LCD Monitors are. I'm not as concerned about the operating temperature range as I am the storage temperature range. If I need to warm it up or cool it off before turning it on, that is fine. I just don't know how hot or cold they can stand to be during storage before they break.

I know that hard drives are sensitive to temperature and have decided to use a drive bay that allows it to be removed easily for that.

Where I live it usually doesn't get less than 0 degrees or more than 130 F. in my van during the year.

If anyone has any suggestions, ideas, answers, etc. I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

ok, my mother board comes with a vga out, but it shuts off when i put an agp video card in. why can't i use both? if I had a pci video card instead could I get dual monitor with my motherboard's output? or will I need to have both my agp card and pci card in for dual monitor? It seems foolish that since my motherboard has a video (processer?) output, and i also have a video card with an output, that I can't use both of these with 2 monitors. can't I change the fact that that port shuts off when an agp card is inserted?

I bought a wireless mini camera and attached it to a remote controlled car so I could drive it around in the office at work from my computer monitor. However, the wireless mini camera came with a receiver with white and yellow RCA cables that need to connect to either a monitor or a TV. I already know that TVs have those sockets but I can't find them on my monitor.

The flat panel was tested on my laptop, and it works fine, just can't get it to work on my pc. I wasn't sure if it had something to do with the mother board, that's why I decided to contact you.
I contacted IMB, since it's an IBM flat panel monitor, and they told me it could be that the monitor just doesn't work with the operating system. That didn't make much sence to me sine I had the same operating system on my laptop, and it worked fine with that. Also, I thought maybe I would need an updated driver for the flat panel, but the flat panel was made in 2000, and I can't seem to find any drivers for it, besdies it didn't need a driver for my laptop.
It may also have something to do with the video card (Radeon 800 Series), but I am not sure, either way I downloaded all of the latest drivers for the video card.
Please let me know, if any one has any idea, what you think could be the problem and what I could do about this.
Thank you very much for your time.

Hi

I've a trouble with my computer monitor display. Sometimes its screen displays a mixed spectrum of colors.

Please find the attachment to see the picture of my monitor, how it looks when the following activities are performed: -

1.When the system goes stand by situation and we bring it to default again, we see the spectrum.
2.When we change the Hertz through Control Panel>>Display>>Settings>>Advanced>>Monitor.
3.When we install a game of high resolution.
4.After playing a game and on exiting the game the display gets distorted.
5.

The screen displays a mixed spectrum of colors (as shown in the picture) that can't let me do anything other then restarting the system. I had also format the system & install all the drivers again, still the problem it’s as it is.

Thanks

Yashwant

My old computer has been unplugged for a couple months. I had to have my harddrive reprogrammed. When I connected my montior back up to the computer, the monitor had a clicking noise. It does it with the computer or without it. It was fine a few weeks ago when I had it plugged in and trying to fix other issues with the computer. Any idea? What would make it suddenly start doing this if it was not in use for a while? Thanks for any help
