I am putting a computer in my van because I am going to try and live/camp out in it. The only concern I have is with the LCD display. I live in Tennessee and am not sure how sensitive to heat LCD Monitors are. I'm not as concerned about the operating temperature range as I am the storage temperature range. If I need to warm it up or cool it off before turning it on, that is fine. I just don't know how hot or cold they can stand to be during storage before they break.

I know that hard drives are sensitive to temperature and have decided to use a drive bay that allows it to be removed easily for that.

Where I live it usually doesn't get less than 0 degrees or more than 130 F. in my van during the year.

If anyone has any suggestions, ideas, answers, etc. I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

I would think that you would need a specially built lcd screen for this. I wouldn't trust it to not have issues unless you get one that is better suited for the extremes.

Normal Lcd's are pretty hardy, but there is a chance the screen could freeze and crack, or you could do some heat damage to the screen if it gets too hot inside the van.
