Now a days, some display driver come with this feature which allow you to rotate the screen. Actually, this is design for the tablet PC.
Try this, Press and hold the CTRL+ALT+Arrow key on your keyboard and see the difference.

On your monitor you will see a button called menu, push it. Then use your plus and minus buttons on your monitor to go over to the picture that has a square with 2 arrows rotating on it. Hit the select button on your monitor then readjust your screen using the plus and minus buttons again. Once you have your screen in the desired position press the menu key to exit.

It helps to know the computer and the game.
If it has been changed, then you have a landscape/portrait option on your display and probably can go to Control Panel/Display/ and look at options with Orientation, etc.. I don't have one so can't go further in steps.
Probably the suggestion you lay the computer or monitor on its side is not a reasonable one :-)

find help and support on your computer . in it search ,type monitor view . or just monitor . you'll find what you need there .we don't have enough info. to figure out whats up /or sideways . lol!!!
