i have been told this by a friend but cant understand it....wot about the TV as well...seems strange ....oh and how do you clean the screen ?

When I put my computer on I have a black line down the one side of my monitor, I have to press Auto on my monitor to make it go,then I get two small faces with a line connected, then I have to turn the monitor off and on to make them go. Help Please

Hi, just randomly my pc screen has gone funny! I turned my pc on and the monitor now has these coloured lines running across it and eery time i click anything it makes it worser. I have tried to fixure out the problem. I took that monitor out and attached it to another pc, then the lines are not their, so this means there is not a problem with the screen. I replaced the wire connecting the screen to the main system but it still has the colours on it. So now i was thinking theres a problem with the actual connection on the montherboard maybe? So i opened up the pc and made sure all the wires were secure and cleaned out any dust, then when i turned the pc back on it was fine....but then a few seconds later the lines came back again? I dont know how to describe them, it looks like when water has gotten into an lcd basically, and you have all these weird patches of colour, but i can garuntee no water has been their. Any one who can help me?

I have a plasma TV that a friend recently gave to me. When I plug it in to my laptop, I get picture on the TV until the Windows Login screen. I've tried to change the display settings, but they always revert back to the default settings for my laptop monitor when I click 'apply' or 'ok'. It seems to work fine when I startup in Safe Mode, though safe mode doesn't allow me to play games, watch DVDs, or play music. I think it may be an issue with my GeForce 7900 graphics card. If anyone can help, I would appriciate it greatly. Don't let this 42" TV go to waste!

I just got a new logitech monitor, and i tried playing episodes of my shows on it but the media wont play, i mean it plays u can hear the sounds and everything but the actual picture wont show, ive tried everything and by the way i have all the codecs and everything so thats not the problem , so anybody please help, thx

my computer screen froze suddenly, so i pressed Ctrl+Alt+delete, and it unfroze, but the text and everything on the screen got larger and it's annoying me. i even reopened my internet browser, but it's still like this. how do i change it back to normal?

I moved all of the components from my computer to a new case, adding a new mother board, hard drive and power supply. I have power to the computer and monitor, but there is no display on the screen. Any ideas what could have gone wrong?

My TV is sitting right above my computer in my office and Im looking to buy a new monitor. The thought just occured to me to somehow connect my computer to my tv ( which are only 12 inches apart). Is this possible? Would I need any special equipment? Thank for your help as I know very little about computers and even less about televisions.

I sent a Viewsonic VX715 TFT screen for repair. They said I can have a replacement monitor but it is a VX712. I can't really tell which one is better. Do i accept the VX712 or wait for a replacement VX715? Also the reason why one is better that the other is a must. Thanks
