My TV is sitting right above my computer in my office and Im looking to buy a new monitor. The thought just occured to me to somehow connect my computer to my tv ( which are only 12 inches apart). Is this possible? Would I need any special equipment? Thank for your help as I know very little about computers and even less about televisions.

it depends on your graphics card. as far as i know, an ATI all in wonder allows you to do this because it comes with a prong port tht connects to the monitor port. i dont know of any otehr graphics cards that do this but u can easily find them at a comp. store

confident they could, although often video demonstrate instruments are made as much as 26" simply by fact maximum folk do no longer choose something bigger for a working laptop or laptop setup. although, i'm at the instant applying a 32" television as my visual demonstrate unit simply by fact i wanted something bigger!
