My HP Media Center pops up an advisory that, "A camera has been detected. To view the images you need to change how your camera is recognized by the PC. The camera's USB setting must be set to disk drive instead of digital camera."

Problem is, I have no idea how to change this. Can someone give me quick step-by-step as to how to change this? I have a HP Pavillion.

My current processor is the AMD with 2.0ghz but its dual core so I am not sure what that means. I have about 2gb ram and its still kind of slow. I saw a deal for a Pentium 4 3.2ghz for pretty cheap and was thinking if this will speed up my computer if i get it? The specs for the Pentium 4 is :

* Mfr Part Number: JM80547PG0881MM,HH80547PG0881MM
* Process Type: Intel Pentium 4 Processor 541
* Frequence: 3.2 GHz
* FSB: 800 MHz
* Cache: 1 MB
* Process: 90 nm
* Socket: LGA775
* Power Consumption: 84 W
* Package: OEM
* This processor includes Hyper-Threading Technology
* This processor supports Intel Extended Memory 64 Technology (EM64T)
* This processor supports Enhanced Halt State (C1E)
* This processor supports Execute Disable Bit capability.

Is this better than my dual core or should I get Core 2 duo or leave it be?

I want to set up a webcam outside my house as a security camera, but I don't want to drill a hole through the wall for the USB cable to my computer. Besides, I don't think they make USB cables long enough to reach my computer.

Is there a gadget (in two parts) that I could plug my webcam into outside, and it would transmit to a receiver attached to my computer inside?
