Can't do that cuz it will make BILL very angry. Also it won't work because the 2 PCs would have different configurations and different registries. You could just end up with Windows MU (messed up).

Yes, but it is illegal to do so without either obtaining a new license or removing the other installation.
Linux is a good alternative if you don't want to pay hundreds of dollars to put a decent version of Windows on each of your computers.
If you absolutely need Windows for some reason (new games only available for Windows are the only valid reason I know of to use Windows) it would be more reasonable to just have one Windows computer for whatever truly won't work on anything else and put Ubuntu, Freespire, or something else on your other computers.

You can't copy it per se -- you can copy the installation disk but not hard disk to cd or usb.
Perhaps you are looking for something like Symantec Ghost Solutions Suite -- this is used for mass cloning.

you're asking for a fairly lengthy answer..the easiest way would probably be to look in to using Norton Ghost or something to that effect to create an image CD of the host windows installation then imaging the new machine's hd with it.

Do you mean copying from an older pc to a new one? Legally, it can be done. But not with a direct connection ( PC o PC). you may need to buy a cloning program or use the original install disk

You either need the systems to be identical in hardware or you need an installation CD. In other words you need an installation CD.
