Please can anyone tell me whats wrong?(or what i have done wrong). My mp3 is plugged in to the usb, i,m just about to click copy but 'media' sais, no device detected. Please help. Any ideas welcome, Many thanks.

Version 11 of Windows Media Player has issues with MP3 players that use DRM. (digital rights management, a.k.a. copy protection)

If it worked before and nothings changed, then the cable is probably no good or there is something wrong with the mp3 players USB port.

If it never worked, you need to install drivers for this particular device. You would get those from the mp3 players vendors web site.

Well first try hitting F5 to refresh the thing to detect the player. If that dont work then the problem is a connection problem. Your mp3 player's usb pluggin could be broken(unlikely, but possible), the usb cord could be broken (try using another one), or the usb port in your computer is broken(most likely). Try using another usb port, there are uaully a few in the back so give it a shop.

Take it out and plug it in again... or try another outlet... its not detecting the device..
