X1300 is a bit faster and has 30% higher bandwidth but only a DX9 card. However, 8300GS is a DX 10 card and supports latest Shader 4.0.

128MB PCIe™x16 NVIDIA® GeForce® 8300GS w/TV-Out, VGA & DVI. This one is definately your better choice. The 8300 has had a lot of good reviews. If you have any further questions you can go to this link. I refer to it alot before purchasing computer hardware.

I doubt you'd see any difference with the 2 cards. They both run a 64bit bus have the same memory and both run a 450 clock. I'd go with the 8300 cuz it supports directx10. Of course, if you dont have Vista and never plan to get it that's a wash cuz XP doesn't and never will support DirectX10 and any games coming out in only directx10 will not run on XP even with a directx10 card.
