My Wireless router used to work with a Cable modem. I subscribed to a T1 connection that my apartment complex provides. If I directly hook up to the ethernetport in the wall it works. However if I connect my Wireless router to the ethernet port and try to establish the connection thru my laptop that does not work.
Is it possible to have such a setup ..ie have a wireless router without a Cable or DSL modem ?

I'm looking to get a new video card, but I'm not sure what to get. I'm going to be using it for gaming, but I hope to keep it around $150, even less if that is possible. It will have to be and AGP 8x, or PCI compatible card. Am I going to need a lot of pixel pipelines? I was looking at newegg and found this

I was wondering if it was possible to wire up a bunch of hard drives to one pc baord, then connect that via, say, a parallel port to act as a single really big hard drive. The basic idea is to turn a PC into some sort of secondary-drive manager for another PC. I've heard of RAID setups, but is there a chip that will let me add all the drives together and make my computer think that it's one drive?

My friend got an external harddrive. he accidentally plugged in my laptop powercord to it which is 19v and the drive only takes 12v. so ovbiously now, it wont power on because i think i surged it. my questions are, could it be that all the data contained was wiped out or its just a matter of either changing a fuse or something to do with the power?

I am interested in an HP slimline because of the size of it. Eventually, I would like to upgrade the system and add more memory and maybe something else. How hard would it be to piece the system back together, and is there a manual on how to take it apart to get to a certain piece?
