Hi All, I have an old Samsung 19" computer monitor that still works great and is in excellent condition. Problem is I don't need it anymore but can't find anywhere to sell the darn thing. Anyone know of places that buy them still? Thanks

Goodwill is a good place to take those however,if you have some extra storage space it's always nice to have an extra monitor.

You can try selling it on craigslist.org - that way you can try to find a local buyer so that you don't have to worry about packing the monitor safely for shipping. eBay also offers some way of selling locally / local pickup only.

Do some research on newegg.com before setting your price - 19" CRTs are really cheap these days, so don't expect too much.

If you can't sell it (everybody wants LCDs these days) then I recommend donating it to a local charity or school. You may be able to use it as a tax deduction, which is at least worth some money.

Because you can't throw monitors in the trash, you may end up having to pay around $25 to recycle it if you can't find someone to take it off your hands.

Donating it to Salvation Army isn't such a good idea, because it'll be snatched up by some shark, not by a truly needy person, because a truly needy person probably doesn't have a computer in the first place.

I'd try either Ebay or post a sale note in your local college.

We have a hazardous waste disposal site here where you can take old TVs, monitors, car batteries, etc. You may be able to donate it to some organization, too.

Have you tried e-bay? People will buy anything there. That's probably your best bet. Or, try your local newspaper.
