$500-$600
the only things that drags it down is that it only has a celeron d. a celeron d only has 256kb of cache, which is not powerful at all. i sure somebody will buy it though.

Like someone mentioned before...over $500 plus it's a Dell?!!! That's just crazy, I can go to Bestbuy or CompUSA and buy a brand new PC with a better CPU for around that price. Heck you can go on eBay and buy a manufacturer refurb loaded computer for that price.
I'd say more like $200-300..why?

Depending what that machine is used for and by whom, but for a computer wiz it's just not going to cut it.

1. CPU is a bit slow for intense pc usage (video/photo editing, gaming, graphing)
2. Vcard is outdated for current gaming and I don't believe that card can handle the final version of Vista with all it's visuals, maybe it can run basic Vista without all the visual effects but not Premium or Business etc.
3. Vista is not even out yet so that pre-release beta version or knockoff theme type version is no good if you actually have some sort of Vista on that Dell.

For a child or normal web, typing, movies etc would be perfect but not for $500+

depends on where you are (country) some underdeveloped countries governments don't have computers that powerful ... yet by todays modern standards it's not too much above a good entry level system ... here (australia) I would think between $700-$900 ... and I also think you'd be better off doing a clean install of XP cause the Vista will time out being Beta and cause confusion to novice users ... (I'm a retail techy ..)

Five hundred? Are you kidding? You can buy a brand new one from Dell, with a better processor and a monitor included for five hundred.

Something is worth whatever someone will pay for it, and judging by some of the answers here you might find someone to give you that much, however, it's not worth that much and I wouldn't pay more than two-hundred or so for it.

between $500 and $700 , the reason you would get so little is because its a Celeron and also you have not stated how long is left on the warranty, I can only assume there is no warranty time left on it so that will bring down the price

if its legal xp (vista) then about £350 to £400. if not then about £250 to £300.

these days its better to give it to a friend for cheap and then get a faviour back when you need it.
