my mom offered me a emachines windows xp computer for 200 dollars. Should I buy it or get a computer with vista. if I bought it what would I be missing out on and is it worth 200 dollars

Hi, I am in charge of IT for a small business. We currently use one @yahoo.com address and have our company website with yahoo Business Web Hosting. We receive all e-mail sent to the @yahoo.com address and our companyname.com address in to one mail box on the mail.yahoo.com web site.

We love the mail.yahoo.com system. However, we are expanding and we need to have a server based systrem.

We are looking for a e-mail server software where all e-mails will be delivered and shared from using Outlook and also provide us the ability to access the e-mail on the web.

Anyone have any ideas?

I have tried some third party software like SoftTalk and OLFolders, and have had no luck in getting it to work with Yahoo Mail…

Ok so we set up a linksys wireless connection on our mac (it has airport) and password protected it by following these directions:

but when we tried to connect the windows vista laptop to the wireless connection it wouldn't work (we typed in the right password).. why won't it work? can someone please help me, maybe i did something wrong when setting up the security & everything at the directions on that page i linked to...

Everytime i use the illustrator filter>create>Crop marks, the settings automaticly set the crop marks to 0.3pt stroke.

Instead of manually changing it to 0.5pt stroke, is there a setting panel where i can change it to 0.5pt stroke automatically each time i choose to create crop marks?

My printer can't print 0.3pt strokes, and i always forget to change to 0.5pt which makes me waste paper all the time.

please help!

I need to get rid of my password for BOIS, 'cuz I lost it and don't remember it, and I heard that I can just use the Clear CMOS jumper pin on the motherboard to do so... So what does the Clear CMOS pin do? And would I just flip the switch and flip it back, or would I flip it and reboot?

I just setup my new router (D-link 502T) that i upgraded from the 302G....After setting it up im not able to open and view web pages but i am able to download from limewire...But with my old router i was able to do everything...What is going on here??? Any help will be great...

The battery in my 1-year old MacBook Pro seems to die faster than usual. I'll charge it all night, for example, and the battery will die within a half an hour to an hour (when before it would last for much longer.) My settings have not changed -- I use energy saver and normal for battery life. Should I get it checked out, or is there something I can do to fix it myself?

I have a Dell XPS with a Pentium D 820 (2.8GHz)/dual core,1GB DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz, 20" ultra sharp monitor, 256MB ATI Hyper Memory PCI- Express X16 Radeon X600 SE, and a 80GB Serial ATA hard drive (7200 RPM) Is this video card good enough for Battlefield2 it seems to run well but sometimes takes a while to load. I tried to install Windows XP SP-2 on a Dell Optiplex GX110
(P3,733MHz, System chip set Intel 810e,128MB(100Mhz), 30GB), which was preveously running on 98SE. I formatted the HDD, everything went smooth upto the file copy. After the rebooting instruction appears as usual...Press any key to boot from CD. But soon it shows A Disk read error occoured, press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart. This process continues. I tried to change BIOS after copying files to boot from HDD but it gave an error message that Disk error, press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart. I checked the cables & HDD,RAM sticks with another Machine and found ok. Even I could install XP onto a different system with my HDD and successfully done it. But due to non availability of a similar Motherboard the HDD showed no OS found when fitted into my System. I upgraded the BIOS Version from A02 to A09 but to no result. There is no bulging of Capacitors on the Mother board.
There is no DOS prompt while booting from a Bootable 98 CD also.
