I wanted to know how I can keep by business PC and personal PC seperate, meaning I dont want hackers or anybody else to get in....but particularly the business PC. If I only have one net connection can a hacker get to both computers? I have cable internet

Get a good computer person to set up your network, and tell you about routers, router passwrds, router firewalls, more computer firewalls, security settings, antivirus programs , daily updates etc on your network.

Use one computer for fun, communication and ordinary internet use and the other as your business only computer.

The rest of the world put their business computers on line,
and simply have back ups for files.

yes, it's possible that hacker get to both computers only if they're both connected to the internet. there are many firewall programs that you can download to keep your network free of hackers.

If it is connected to the internet then yes.

If it really a concern of your, i would hire a professional to do this. Network security is not an easy task.
