I have tried (and tried) to download the media player for Mac from internet. It downloads a .sitx file but then tells me i don't have something to open it with. My notebook is new so is there something i'm missing and therefor need to get in order for the download to work, or is it something else?

Please Help the Technologically Impaired :-)

I recently aquired a old windows 98 computer system with 256 megs of ram and I wanted to know how far I could upgrade it. I wanted to put windows xp or 2000 on it and I cant seem to find a place where I can change the dial up setting to broadband. If anyone could help me I would be grateful.

I have a borrowed pc while mine is being fixed. This borrowed pc has windows Me which freezes up quite a bit. I would like to upgrade to windows xp. I do not have the program on disc but I was wondering if their was a way I could upgrade online without having to buy the program for a computer that is only a loner. On the side of the computer is a sticker showing the computer is a legal copy and has a validation number on it. I asked the person I am borrowing this from if they had the program disk but they said someone was throwing out the computer and so she decided to see if it worked and it did so no, she has no cd for it. Advice please

The font, desktop icons, and bar where the start menu is are all to big. I have tried zooming in and out and changing text size but it has'nt returned to normal. It started after I played a game on yahoo, could that have something to do with it? I already searched for answers on yahoo, and everyone says to go into properties and select the settings tab but whenever I go into properties the only tab t has is 'General' and nothing there can be adjusted. Help please?

My mother's birthday is coming up and she is a big online gamer. She showed me an article recently in her AARP magazine about a flexible waterproof keyboard that was dishwasher safe. I would really like to get this for her birthday. What I need to know is: I've found several different brands, which is best? It needs to be a full-size keyboard preferably in black. Also, where would be the best place to buy--I don't mind ordering online I just need to get it in the next 2 weeks.

My homework asks "What is the output of the following?" and i'm thinking something is horribly wrong with this code or they skipped this in class.

the only thing vaguely tickling my brain is the true/false (1 or 0) thing. but if that's so, i didn't realize you could assign 1 or 0 to integers using true / false tests.

I have tried to muck around with the wizard etc and i also followed the instructions on page cannot be displayed. I opened the tools menu and click on automatically detect settings. Surely if the wee box at the bottom right is flashing and saying enabled then i should be able to access internet? This is a computer i got from my workplace, its just over a year old and runs XP Pro.

I'm having trouble with the equations needed. we have learned the loops so far and i think this problem wants me to use the loops, and it looks like i need if-else as well. Here is the problem.

Write a program that asks the user to supply three positive integers k, m and n, with k being greater than 1. the program should compute the sum of all the integers between m and n that are divisible by k.

I don't know how to tell C that that i only want an integer evenly divisible by another. and then, i'm not quite sure how to get the addition of those integers done.

Okay. This problem has been solved but, i just want it to know what was causing it? I just built my first computer and as i was installing all the drivers and softwares and xp updates that i need it in the computer one out of 2 times it restarted the bios would change... (not recognizing my hard drive and the speed on my ram and processor would go down... so i had to go there manually and put everything back in order to get it going) just wondering and another thing is how do i make xp start without me having to press F1... what part of the bios make it does that?

Not going to send Roxio $15.00. Will Vista SP1 address this when released presumably in December according to an Intel leak? Anyway around it in the meantime?
Still have my PS2 anyway, but somewhat ticked off about spending cash for a top line computer, and a basic function is an extra charge/hassle. Please no re-installing XP advice and Thanks for any imput!
