Everytime i use the illustrator filter>create>Crop marks, the settings automaticly set the crop marks to 0.3pt stroke.

Instead of manually changing it to 0.5pt stroke, is there a setting panel where i can change it to 0.5pt stroke automatically each time i choose to create crop marks?

My printer can't print 0.3pt strokes, and i always forget to change to 0.5pt which makes me waste paper all the time.

please help!

Try starting Illustrator but do not open a document.

Then go and change the crop mark settings.

This should change the default.

I do not use Illustrator, but most Adobe products work this way. If you make a change with a document open it changes only for that document. If you have no document open it changes the default.
