how do i upload music from my computer onto myspace

I have a Garmin GPS unit that connects to my computer thru COM Port. As far as I can tell I only have one COM Port (the 9 pin plug). When I first bought the unit I followed the manual and it worked fine...pretty much set itself up...(I am running XP) and I was able to tranfer map data between my computer and the GPS. I have not used it in a month or so and now when I plug it in, the program (MapSource) and the computer fail to see the attached device?
I ran the troubleshooter and it tells me that COM Port 1 is working properly although it does not mention anything about the GPS device using it. I tried reinstalling the mapping software since this is where the drivers come from.
Any help would be appreciated. And I am a computer dummy... so don't think I'll be offended by details... the more the better.

Oh.. and I have already tried contacting the manufacturer, they have no idea. They tell me it is a computer issue not a GPS issue. Lots of help they were..

I have just started programing and i am looking for some free content online which could help me to take off with the basics. I can't use new version of visual Basic because i am using this version in my institute, so i need something which can help me to understand it to some extent, or atleast could clear my concepts related to programing.

Since I d/l IE7....My Sattelite isp will NOT connect until I click on the server busy box that appears in the right hand corner task bar. I see no need for it and would like to get rid of it. Does anyone have any clues?.. Otherwise I am more than happy with IE7. It is not included in system utility box...

My home network has a connection that I also use on my wireless computer. A bubble pops up at the bottom of the screen saying "Connected to: 2WIRE389 Signal Strength: Excellent".
All is well for a few minutes until the bubble pops up again and says " Connected to: wireless Signal Strength: Good" or some other connection/signal strength. I get the error message on my screen saying that my computer can't find a connection. I then have to rt click on the connection icon, goto "View Available Wireless Connections and click on 2WIRE389. After a few seconds, it allows me to reconnect with my home network and then 2 minutes later the same thing happens. How can I get my 2Wire389 connection to stay locked on at home?

I have this litle white box that keeps appearing in my task bar at bottom of screen, it come up very quickly about 3 sec and then disappears, have ran many different spy, adware, virus, etc programs with nothing seeming to find the problem. I did however find a problem about 3 or 4 weeks ago stating that I had a remote aim on the puter, I thought I got rid of it. now the box is back, but not finding the problem this time.

I run a runboard forum, and as admin, have the option to ban abusive posters by username and ISP. I recently did this using both options mentioned, but now he's back. His username is slightly different (just the simple omition of a space) but how did he get round the ISP ban? It must be slightly inconvienient for him if he's simply using a different computer, so I'm guessing that's not the answer, and more to the point, how can I get rid of him for good?

my old pc quit working. it would power up but the monitor, keyboard & mouse were dead. so i bought a new pc (both dells). i'd replaced the hard drive about a year ago & i suspect it's still good to go. can i install it in my new pc & move the doc files? the old pc ran xp pro. new pc has xp media edition.
