it doesn't mention having Microsoft Office on it - is that right? It's advertised on www.pcworld.co.uk if anyone who isn't a computer dumbo like myself has time to check.

I'm trying to help my Mum buy a computer or laptop for my little bro but don't really know whether it's a good deal or not, or what any of the lingo actually means!

Please help!! Thanks x

For £400 it seems a good deal to me. It will handle Windows XP and office programs/browsing the interent etc... fine. It will also be able to play less demanding games (Any game over 3 years old definatly).

I had a PC a few months ago with far worse specifications than this (1GHz Celeron, 384MB RAM so on) and it ran perfectly and played 3D Games perfectly fine, this laptop would run circles around that machine.

The 60Gb hardrive is pretty big for a laptop and you will be able to install many programs/copy loads of CD's/MP3's/photo's to it and the battery life is good as well. It also looks very nice! If I did not already have a laptop, I would consider buying that one, but I would not pay anymore than £400 for it.

If you can wait, the new version of Windows should be out in January. As soon as that comes out you will be able to pick up great deals on the 'older' Windows XP machines as manufacturers introduce their new models.

It is cheap, so you can't expect the world out of it.Good for emails and basic computing. It won't have office suit but it has got Microsoft works which is very basic.Tesco will soon have software similar to this.If I were you I'd wait a bit cos a new operating system is to be released next year pushing prices of current PCs down.

It is likewise working vista with a million gb ram. If it grew to become into working XP and you basically needed it for college and the internet i could say that should be super yet no longer with Vista. you would be working with minimum gadget requirement which might maximum possibly be slow and demanding.
