I had a problem installing the restore discs now it keeps locking up with write errors mid-way during installation etc...I want to comepletely erase the hard drive to start over. Any idea? I heard magnets work? It's my 13 y/o daughters school cpu and I can' afford to take it in to Best Buy etc....I need free tech help! PLEASE...

i had my computer reformated, now that i have it back, i want to change the display settings... and it only has 16 bit and wont let me change the the resolution. it is a dell computer and it has windows 98. it worked just fine before it was reformated, my moniter is a samsung 570v tft , could someone help me, ive tried everything....

I've been looking for Some kinda E Rated fun game for PC. I've already found a couple games. Please don't Mention Sonic Heroes, Sonic and Mario, and Mario Forever--i've already downloaded them [they need to be download games, please]. It needs to also be FreeWare, I Know Sonic Heroes isn't Freeware, but I downloaded a demo from Yahoo! Games. That is awesome. But any way, i'm really looking for games like Sonic, Mario, and Megaman. Please-- no games that have talking with swearing in it. I reccomend Yahoo! Search to Search with. Other good ones are Ask Jeeves, Google, and Dell Search. I really like gaming, so I would appreciate if you would please help me with this, thank you.

I can play a music video at vh1.com but there's no sound at all even when the computer is turn on or off there's nothing. Do I need some kind of a cd to install in my harddrive? if so where do i get it from. I bought this computer by someone else, i don't know what else to do. Ok here is the problem, I know it's difficult to help when you can't see the thing yourself but let's see if I can explain this the best that I can. I play sims 2, last night I downloaded some extras to add to it. They were zipped files so I did extract all on all of them and then sent them to the (d) drive to the Sims2. Last night it was working. When I turned on the game it was there. Then this morning I turned on my computer and all the extras were gone AND the old games that I had saved over the last 5 months were all gone. the files that were sent to the (d) drive say they are ready to write to a CD. How do I get these downloads onto the game? I don't care all that much about accessing the lost games although it would be nice if it is simple to do. when I send to the sims2 file it just says not on cd needs to be written to cd. I did copy it onto a cd but was I supposed to and if so what do I do with it now? Can anyone help me, plz don't try unless you really know about computers.

I am referring to cameras that you put on the peephole of your door that look outside. They can be good for security.

I just wonder how well they work as far as being able to see anything. And I didn't find any that had a motion sensor, so it looks like you'd be scrolling through hours of footage to find anything of use.
