WOL - Wake On LAN

This is something that, when properly configured on either your NIC card or your mobo, will allow your PC to power on when the NIC remotely receives a "magic packet" (I not making up that name).

If you have an onboard NIC with your mobo, read the mobo manual as I am sure that it will have the proper directions for setting the WOL and using it.

a "wol" is a type of bird that lives in the hundred acre woods. It can spell simple words but goes all to pieces over delicate words like "buttered toast".

Glad I could help.
