From what PC World said when they evaluated Vista it will require at least 1 meg of ram and a fairly high end processor (at least a P4) PC World stated the minimum requirements MS stated were necessary would really run slowly. According to them Vista is a substantially bigger hog than XP. Hope this helps

If you go to www.microsoft.com and look for the Vista RC1 download section you can find the requirements. I have installed Vista beta2 and now Vista RC1 on my HP ZV5320US with an AMD64 using the 32 bit operating system without any hangups or it working slowly. I wanted to use the Vista RC2 64 bit operating system but it would not work on my laptop.

Not sure what the "" requirements are... but I know this. I tried vista beta 1 on a hp dc5100 desktop p4 3.0ghz with a 80 gb hd and 2gb of ram with a 64 mb nvidea video card, and oh my god.. it dragged. I mean it was a joke. It was so frikin slow... It was such a joke.. I hope that by the time microsoft finally relases that piece of junk that intel has a whole new super fast motherboard / cpu that will support it.. If not, we're all dooomed.. lol
