in keeping your computer in the fast lane you have to reinstall windows every couple of months. I want to stop doing that. Is there an alterntive way I can keep it in the fast lane.

When I go to shut down or start up my computer, the screen with the icons has changed. It went from a picture to a white screen with 4 big grey boxes going diagonally. It was normal a few hours ago. I have heard people talking about home pages changing if you have spyware. I don't know if that is the homepage though. Any suggestions?

I have the demo of a program called Mixvibes which just expired but I remember reading about a way to get past this by setting back the date of your computer. I just tried it but it didnt work so Im thinking there might have been something I forgot to do. Anyone else know how to do this?
P.S. Before people start posting comments telling me to just buy the program, I am planning to buy it, as the demo is very limited, but need to save up the $200 that it costs.

ok i was on the computer, window shut down and wouldn't reload, now i rebooted my computer and got a connection with the internet again after 14 hours. now it says i have 50 errors and if i dont correct them it was destroy my computer. what does this mean, what do u think happened. thanks

"suppose P0 is the initial amount & INT is the interst rate per year. If P1, P2, and P3 is the balance at the end of the first, second and third year, respectively, then:

basically, i need to write a program that reads an initial investment, at age 16, and uses a FOR loop to calculate the total after 44 years (till age 60) with 10% or (0.1) interest compounded annually. (and i am not supposed to use the POW function.)

the FOR loop should only be used to calculate up to age 60. But thn after the for loop, the program should calculate the totl amnt for 1 additional yr (till age 61). Then starting from age 61, calculate each yrs interest income. In other words " interest earned this yr is:$. if interest is withdrawn ech yr thereafter, my income is:$ per month

My BIOS supports large drives and I have 2 Maxtor 250 GB drives working fine. I am trying to add a Seagate ST3250623A drive (250GB PATA). I tried it in another computer that supports large drives with the same results. Is something wrong with the drive? My mobo is ASUS P4P800 Deluxe w/ 1019 BIOS.
