I have the demo of a program called Mixvibes which just expired but I remember reading about a way to get past this by setting back the date of your computer. I just tried it but it didnt work so Im thinking there might have been something I forgot to do. Anyone else know how to do this?
P.S. Before people start posting comments telling me to just buy the program, I am planning to buy it, as the demo is very limited, but need to save up the $200 that it costs.

No, not usually. Once software is installed on a machine an encoded time stamp is placed in the system registry which counts the days until the software expires.

The registry key can theoretically be cleared and the software reinstalled, but most copy protection systems do a very good job of masking the key and making multiple copies.

If you are really serious about pirating software there are other means, which I won't go into for obvious reasons.

No you cannot!!!! Unfortunately, demo software has its own time system. It assumes that it expires on the date it must expire or depending on the number of times it allows you to use that program.. No matter if you change the pc given time it doesnt affect the time system of a demo software that is subject to expire...

200 dollars? DAMN! Try uninstalling the program, and then reinstalling it. I did that with Norton once, and had a whole nother year until I had to pay to update my subscription

Cheater.
You knew it would expire, should have started saving before.
Just woke up?
