if i delete limewire and then reanstall it is all the stuff that was in my library still there or do i have to download it all again. please help thanks.

I have Windows XP Home on my laptop. I have two userr accounts. When I click on mine (on either) I get a small box that's grey with a blue bar across the top, and a red X in the middle. Below that it says "yes" or "no" or sometimes it just says "ok"

But when I click the user names and the box comes whether I press yes or no, then it says "logging off, saving settings" and will not go to my desktop, and I don't know why.

Is that a new virus? Please help! (I am using a different laptop right now.)

I have 2 computers, one of the computer's harddrive's is done. I wnted to take the hard drive from the lesser of the 2 computers and put it into the more "juiced" one, but it wont recognize it. What do i do? The only reason why i was able to buy a new computer was with the promise to stick my wife's computer into my old system. Now i am looking for a solution

And I want to install Windows 98. I know that it's an outdated operating system but will I be able to surf the net with the browser that comes with it? It's probably an older version of Internet Explorer.

I gamble online and won $7000 at a total cost of $360, then I tryed a different gambling site and spent aprox. $500 and withdrew $1200.
I go to race track slots every week and never walk away with more than $100 in winnings. Is online gambling the way to go?

I had win 2000, sp2, ntfs file system. I was online and recieved a disk error, so I reset my computer right then. When it restarted it would not recognise the drive, and froze at startup with a disk error. I had another drive, which I am using now. The broken drive is slaved to it (jumpers are correct).
My need is only to retrieve family pics that are irreplaceable. Though it would be nice if I could get the whole thing back.
I have tried using Linux, Restore My Files, Norton Disk Doctor, and something else, as well as various dos commands like chkdsk /f.
NOTHING has worked at all except for Restore My Files, which returned a few pics that I didnt want and a ton of mp3's ive never seen before.
ANYONE with ANY advice at all?

I can't figure out all the computer lingo. The system requirements for a game say pentium III 800MHz or better. The tech specs for a computer I want say nothing about pentium although the general description for the pc does say pentium. Why don't they just describe it more simply. I consider myself a computer wizz and am always asked by collegues and friends to help them with computer stuff. But I can't figure out how to read specs. The system req. for a game and the tech specs for a pc use very different terms. What gives?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just someone tell me if this pc would be good for gaming, especially the game with the sys. req. i gave above:

I have charter cable internet 5 mbps and nearly everything i download hardly ever goes above 50kbps. My download typically starts at about 120 kbs and then goes down for a long time. What the hell?
