what is the Ethernet?

i know it has something to do with the internet connection, is it almost like the same thing as ADSL? what is the difference?

its a card u put in ur computer to get dsl

it's the most common network topology
there are other topologies that aren't so common like Ring topology and FDDI (Fiber Distributed Data Interface), etc.
