can some one bug my pc as people do a phone line to hear phone calls..........or should i ask can some one be reading my IM's without me knowing? and if so how can I stop it

Well if there's someone reading your IM's from a whole different computer than that shouldn't be possible unless they hacked into your computer.

If someone hacked into your computer, restore it completely.

Yes, probably. If they have physical access to the computer they can "bug" it in such a way that they can tell every single thing you type, every program you run, every site you visit, and more. It is very possible.

If they don't have physical access they can still "bug" it through a virus or through network snooping, but these are very much less likely.
