I do alot of internet, gaming, and word/excell apps. I've got an Averatec refurb right now & I hate it...something's seriously wrong inside...like it has a mind of its own--It will shut down or restart for no apparent reason, one moment it will say that such & so a file is corrupted or can't be found & the next it's fine....I'm NOT a techie, so PLEASE no techno babble (I'm sure you've all got big brains & don't need to prove it to me) I don't mind off-name brands as long as they're quality!

I have Windows XP Professional installed on my computer. I have some issues with my hard drive and want to reformat it. Each time I go to reformat it, I get an error message saying I can't dismount the drive and in order to force a dismount I should enter Y. However, when I do that, it then it says it's unable to lock the drive. How do I uninstall XP so I can format the hard drive and then reinstall a new copy?

I am helping in an office that currently has 5 computers, all running WindowsXP. At the current time, all data is SAVED on ONE computer. We back up daily from this ONE computer. Using the features of XP we can share and save without any problems. This method has worked well for 3 years. What I want to do is get new software for the operating system. A couple of the computers need to be reformatted and several of the computers are not technically running legal versions of XP. I figured that I needed to buy an operating system with licenses for additional users. What would you suggest?

My hard drive is running out of space. I want to buy a new, bigger, and faster internal hard drive. I was wondering if I could simply "clone" all the contents of my current drive and have them on the newer one just the way the are.

I am not just talking about photos and music, I want the Windows XP activation, my registrity files, (basically all the programs and all the programs that have already been activated) transfered as they are.

Is this possible? If so, could you name some software titles that will allow me to do that?

hi, i'm an office assistant for a non-profit public transit company. Recently my boss told me that she made a (very simple, and basic) website. However, she has been very dissatisfied with the end product. I have been charged to look for web developers to help improve the website to looking more professional, rather than sloppy.

My website is displayed in my house, but a friend who lives in another city is not able to view the site, and also my friends in South Africa are able to visit my site but my friends who live in malaysia are not able to view. My hosting provider tells me that the ips may be blocked by some ISPs or some ISPs my refreshe it little slow.

How do i correct his and make my site visible in all networks? Your suggestions are much appreciated.
