Computers & Internet - 21 September 2006

The internet on my computer seems to randomly go out (I also lose my network connection). To fix the problem I have to retstart. Every other computer in the office always maintains its connection to the internet. How can i stop this from happening?

I am creating a stored procedure and all of my code seems to be right. However, I am getting the errors...incorrect syntax near 'value' and could not find my stored procedure. If anyone is willing to take a look and try to help me I would appreciate it. Please respond with a way to contact so I can provide a screenshot of what's going on.

I mean come on it would be cool if it was like the sims and if you could chat on line and make out and buy a hose, mansion. our own little world. like vote for the president and stuff like that like the real world you know? with all of these diseas adn try to fix them yet chat on line you know have kids like ex: if your wer a beginer you could start out as somebodys kid then grow up and make youe own life you know what i mean? now that would be cool and it could be a thing like a online chat game all over the world would use it china, austrailia, russia, canada, mexico, U.S., and so on..... so why doesn't like that dude whats his name the guy that invented the internet. he should use his money and make something like i know i would if i had the money.

Printer died! Am trying to connect a old one up, but got a message that the driver is not compatible with XP. Went to Epson page and looked for driver update, found one that I belive is the right one and downloaded it.After the 4 file were unzipped I got another message that reads."It was not the environment which modules applies"...What does this mean and did I do this right?I choose the driver update for XP...Help

I have a Netgear 8 port router which is not wireless and have the IP for that router is 192.168.0.1.

I have added a Netgear wireless router to the other router, which has IP address 192.168.1.1.

Now everyone can go to internet, either by cable or wirelessly. But the problem is - the newly added wireless router user doesnot see the Local area network user. Any idea how this will work? I disabled the DHCP on the wireless router - because the regular router has DHCP turned on. Any help with experience will be appreciated. Thanks

I follow the instructions to put in my screen name and password. The password is always wrong. I type in the images (letters and numbers) on the screen and it continuously tells me an email has been sent, but I never get the email with the password in it. Does anybody know why? I am getting very frustrated with the whole thing. I tried restoring my computer to get back the AIM I deleted, thinking I was downloading a newer AIM, but this did no good. I am going nuts if someone doesn't help me. Thanks.

I live in a duplex. The lady that lives downstairs has Roadrunner High Speed Internet. My laptop has wireless capabilities. If her system or whatever isn't locked, would i be able to pick up a signal and get internet from her?

We just got TimeWarner wireless internet insalled, and ever since, the internet is slow, and FireFox loads 99% or so of the page and then says..."waiting for us.bc.yahoo.com" and in worse cases "transferring data to/from speed.pointroll.com and t.pointroll.com." Ahh...what the hell is this? Is this normal?

PS I'm running Apple OS 10.3.9 with an Airport card.

I often get a buffer overrun message when searching in Google. The window says Buffer Overrun and that windows has encountered some problems and will shut down. Explorer shuts down and I have to start up IE again to search. Is there a way out of this? I have checked my computer for viruses etc. nothing!

Hi all I posted this morning that I could not move my laptop without it shutting down and I could not read the screen . I took it apart (35 screws !) and hoovered inside , now i can move it ok but the screen has loads of little squares all over it , making it hard to read . I've increased resolution so I can see what I'm writing but can't get the screen normal again ? any suggestions ?
