I often get a buffer overrun message when searching in Google. The window says Buffer Overrun and that windows has encountered some problems and will shut down. Explorer shuts down and I have to start up IE again to search. Is there a way out of this? I have checked my computer for viruses etc. nothing!

If you are getting a "Buffer Overrun", it would appear to me that some one has embedded a malware code into your system where they can take control of your pc.

You don't say who's antivirus system you have in your pc.

There is alot of pure garbage out there like, Nortons & McAfee that will not find anything.

Do you have all of your Microsoft critical updates installed?. If not, go to start=windows updates and let Microsoft scan your system for all critical updates. Then install them.

You may want to download from: www.lavasoft.com their free version of Ad-adware Personal Se and scan. If a virus/trojan is found delete it and reboot your pc.

You can also download www.superantispyware.com their free version and scan. This program scans all of my 143,000 object.

Or download from www.ewido.net their, Ewido Antispyware program. This program is not free, becomes free if you don't purchase in thirty days. After that, they will only remove the guard from the try and you will not get auto updates. You will have to update manual. The guard is not necessary, and nothing wrong with manual updates. (Scans all of my 143,000 objects).

Again, being that you did not state what kind of antivirus or antivirus or antispyware you have in your system. The above will not cause any conflict with your existing antivirus program.

One more program that will not conflict is from: www.emsisoft.com You can download their free version of a2Squared Malware. This software company is out of Austria and they will require you for the free or paid version to fill out a very short form as they will send you a registration code that you must copy & paste into the free or paid program when you download along with the email address you gave them. Their server will verify. When verification is completed you will see, "Go with God's Speed". Then you continue the installation.

Scans all 143,000 objects plus is excellent for rogue dialers.

Good luck
