Printer died! Am trying to connect a old one up, but got a message that the driver is not compatible with XP. Went to Epson page and looked for driver update, found one that I belive is the right one and downloaded it.After the 4 file were unzipped I got another message that reads."It was not the environment which modules applies"...What does this mean and did I do this right?I choose the driver update for XP...Help

WinXP ah the great benefits of the new....lol I would recommend that the first thing you do is to uninstall all instances of any other print drivers on the computer to eliminate any conflicts. Then go to http://www.driverguide.com and search for a driver by manufacterer. model and operating system. The drivers are rated so you want to get the highest rated one available. Download it, then install it, anyour printer should work fine. Hope this helps.

Before giving up on the printer download the Win2k driver for it. It may work fine.

We'll need the model number of the printer to answer this. Or , you could try using a driver for a similar model that comes with windows. It will probably do the basics for you.

Basically....

You cant use that with windows XP it sounds like...

Try getting a new printer?

look around at garage or rummage sales.. I saw some almost new ones yesterday for 5$........
