Can you find a conversation that existed in IM? I'm looking for a date that was mentioned but don't where to look. Any ideas?

I got rid of the ads and something called "malware" by running my spyware and antivirus scans. But there are still some crazy things going on with my computer. For instance, the background on my desktop is stuck on blue, and I can't change it. And surfing from page to page isn't as bad as it was yesterday (before I got rid of ads/malware) but it just seems to be sticking/lagging a slight bit. There are all these .dll weird errors and I don't even know where to begin to fix the problem. I did a google/yahoo search and found a few forums that addressed this issue but most of the people asked that the person in need of help post the results after running scans. Someone please help me!

I have two tunnels and who knows what else in my laptop. My boyfriend has some kind of message system on on pc that is in my firewall exceptions. He claims to of no idea what I'm talking about. My desktop search is always telling me that the file I'm looking for is not accessable or is corrupt.Some things are missing from my programs. It's like some big secert being hid from me. Sounds like a newbie computer user, I know. I am writing a story, and some poetry and I am not sure how to save them properly. I am guessing a re-writable cd because I will be saving a work in progress each time. (I do not have a floppy disc drive only cd/dvd).
Any idea how many pages (msword) a disc will hold?
I have several pages so far and I'd hate to lose them. I do have a hard copy but it seems like a waste to print it out evry time I add a bit.
