I got a computer from my mother in law that had a virus so I had to reformat it. I did the reformat myself and loaded Win98 on it and everything is fine except the picture. It will not show more than 16 colors and the screen size stays regular, can't go past the base setting. The computer somewhat worked and the video was great, now it sucks. How do I fix this? It won't even pull up what kind of display adaptor it is under properties in the device manager. How do find out what type it is, is it engraved in the card?

I have a dual boot Power Mac G4.

If the CPU Fan stops spinning, will it cause problem for the processor? will it heat up the system and not able to make the CPU fan runs? it is urgently needed to be solve. Help! got any solutions? Will changing a CPU fan helps? Does the BIOS works?

I know little about any kind of computer. Recently bid on a laptop on auction site. Wifi ready, but does not come with the card. I purchased my Dell PC about 2-3 years ago. Backup discs were supplied for all the software programs that were loaded onto my pc when it was delivered to my house. In case something happens to a specific program I could reload it by using the backup disc. When I looked at the disc that had Windows XP on it, it didn't have a code on the back of the envelope it came in. Without the code, I can't reload the program! Certain portions of Windows XP specifically Windows Media Player comes up with a screen note saying "Internal Application Error". I can't fix it separately, and I tried downloading a newer version but it doesn't work! I also accidentally erased some simple stuff like the calculater and the 4 simple games...like solitare. What do I do? It's easier to contact the President of the USA then someone at Microsoft or Dell to help me out!

I have been a SNET DSL subscriber for years- now that it is part of AT&T yahoo it seems that there is a CD full of software you need to install. Something NEW I assume, but is it all necessary. Do you NEED To download all the software from YAHOO for protection and such if you arleady have antivirus/protection software??

Also- do you HAVE to install those little filters on ALL of your phones when you get them, or just the main phone in the house....

I recently reinstalled Xp Home on my Dell inspiron 1150. I downloaded all drivers including dell quickset and notebook system software off Dell's support and download page and did all according to instruction. All is ok. BUT now when I go to Control Panel > System , the DELL Logo and Inspiron 1150 is not showing any more.

How do I put it back? Any registry hack or something? Any weblink?

I have a lexmark p915. I have been printing invitations. My printer ink is full but the color of the ink is off. It suddenly happened. I gave the printer a break for a while and checked it out later and its still off. What do I do about this? ( the printer is only a month old)
