I need Firefox in order to access some work on the internet. If I download Firefox, will I still be able to use Internet Explorer (which is what I use now) whenever I want to? Or will Internet Explorer not work once Firefox is downloaded?

I have an irritating problem with my pc, and as I'm no expert with computers, I need some help .
For the past 2 weeks, whenever I login and go to Internet Explorer, this comes up :
Privacy Violation in Progress ( 490 AVP Warning )
It goes on to tell me that I need a special software to resolve this problem..click here now !
I don't want to buy this software, as I have nothing to worry about, but this " page" includes two whole lines of the filthiest words in the English language, that are supposedly in my hard drive ( which is not true) and as I have two young children who use the pc quite often, I don't want them seeing such words !!
My question is, has anyone else had a similar problem, if so, how can I get rid of it without buying software that I don't need ?
I would really appreciate any help or advice, thank you .

I just got a new laptop and have several hundred e-mails in my inbox. I would like to transfer those e-mail to my new laptop, but I am unsure how to do this. I don't want to simply forward them, I want to keep their original context (i.e. I want to be able to see the original sender). Are they stored in some type of file that I can copy over to the new laptop?

why is it that photos arent visible?.....for instance i have a photo in my email that i want to share with someone but i dont want all of my other addressess visible to them (this is why i didnt just forward it to them)....so i saved the attachment to a briefcase and when i go to the briefcase to look at it the photos are suppressed with the little red "x" in the box on the upper left corner....also when photos are sent to me half the time this is the case also...some i can see some i cant....whats up computer people?

in all programmes, accessories, entertainment, there was a program called sound recorder. it used to be on the desktop as well. since i didn't use it anymore, i deleted the shortcut, and now i don't find it in the programmes. i usually find it there even it's not on desktop. i swear i didn't delete it permanently. how can i get it back. the same happened with microsoft excel, i didn't find it in microsoft office, but somewhere else. in the same way, where can i find sound recorder?

I'm having problems with my Netgear wireless adapter AGAIN. I even downloaded the latest driver from August for it, and it still wants to restart my PC.

Using PHP, how can I split a string like this, LB100A, into something like this, LB 100 A? I will end up having 100's of strings similiar to this that will vary in letters and numbers so I can't really use a position function and I won't know the delimiter so I can't use explode(). I'm guessing regular expressions will do this but I'm not sure how to go about it.
