I have a note book 3 yrs old with XP professional. I installed scanner and webcam. Since then the computer kept crashing. Today I tried to restore to August 25th and since then it does not even start. It kept saying dumping physical memory and then restart. I have not backed my files. I wonder how I can back up and then restore it. Should I take this to a store such as Best Buy or should I be able to fix. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

i am trying to design a metal building for my father in law, i have drawn it all out on graph paper and it looks really good, but i would love to have an autocad drawing of it. just to make sure i haven't left out any details. at the same time i don't want to pay hundreds of dollars for an autocad program that i will probably never use again.

when i am uploading more than 30 MB, to either oxyshare or rapidshared. my browser would time out, and later say "CAnnot find server." when i would refresh, nothing would have uploaded.

it happens both in IE and Firefox

what is causing this...by the way i have DSL 384 DL 256 OL [something around those speeds]

i often get mails saying--You are directed to contact our bank manager immediately on receipt of this massage for quickened and urgent release of your wining fund. ---is this a prank mail, or possibly a spam?
is there anybody else who gets these mails..

im choosing between the Viewsonic VX922 and the Dell 1907FP. it is only a $10 difference, the Dell being the more expensive. Im finding it hard to choose. Im leaning towards the dell only cause of the adjustable height, which is a stupid reason. got anything that could help me out? if you have another suggestion, im all ears.

How many people have taken their lap top to Best Buy to be repaired? Did they tell you they were going to try to back up your files, which cost like 100 bucks. Then they failed to back up your files and everything was lost, and they didn't give you back the 100 dollars. Then they tell you you have to buy a new hard drive...

I know 3 people to which this has happened... I think it's just what they do. It's a conspiracy. I think they try to pull this crap on everyone they can...
