I downloaded stuff for my myspace page. Now my computer is super weak and all vidios/media/music sounds distorted and slow most the time. I asked what to do about 20 minutes ago, and the advice I received was to delete the cookies and to download a free search and destroy program. I deleted the cookies and that did not help. I downloaded the program and scanned... a whole bunch of stuff poped up as dangerous, but when I went to delete these programs, they wanted like 50 bucks? can someone please help me!?! This is not even my computer, and I feal real bad!

Hi folks,

I recently got Bitdefender 9 from a torrent site. I installed it, and it supposedly found 7 viruses. It said that it needed to restart the computer to clean all of the viruses off, so I did what it told me to do.

I try to reboot the computer, and all of the startup programs begin to launch, but no bitdefender. Next thing I know, the computer automatically restarts itself! I get into windows again, and it restarts itself about 3 minutes into the startup! So I figure there's some probelm dur to Bitdefender, right? Well I can't uninstall from the start menu becuase it says it's not officially installed yet, and I can't uninstall from the add/remove programes section becuase the computer restarts before I can uninstall it. I even tried to make no starup programs activate on the next restart, but it STILL RESTARTS. HELP! I need to fix this!

The BSOD reads:

We are third year computer science under graduates...we must do akin project this semester....we have a good lan in our campus with a seperate server for each hostel......we thought of STORAGE VIRTUALISATION of our computers.....i.e making the hard disks of the computers accessible to others ihn the grooup.....is this feasible........

Ok,My questions from yesterday were answered and solved.I uninstalled the program.Once i went to the "Add and Remove Programs" in the control panel,and selected remove then it said it had been successfully uninstalled and asked if i wanted to remove it from the "Add and Remove Programs"List.I selected Yes,and it removed it.However,when i got an email from the company from which the program was downloaded he told me to search and make sure all the files were deleted.Go to search,all programs and files and search for the name of the program.I did that,and there is One that is named this program and its in C:\Program Files but it wont remove.How do i remove it???

I'm trying to partition an external hard drive so my old mac will recognize it. Thing is... I want to use it on both my mac and HP running windows XP. There is nothing on a mac that will partition the drive and have it compatible with windows, and I can't find anything for the latter. Any helpful advice out there?
