Free search and destroy program?! Hell, you probably downloaded a virus factory, don't use it and don't pay.
You can buy a external hard drive(s) and hook it up and move all extra stuff (media, etc.) onto it. They sell for 15-20 dollars used and 30-50 dollars new.
Otherwise you can go to a computer store. The independent ones are actually quite nice. They can run about 60-100 dollars per hour of work, but they do a nice job.

You might need to defrag your drive so that the computer can rearrange and access files more smoothly!
If that doesn't help, check and see how much disk space you are using. You may need to get rid of some stuff.
Another idea to look at would be to hit 'ctrl-alt-delete' and find out what programs are running. There could be things running that you aren't aware of.
Lastly, check out your start up menu. Go to start, click run, type in 'msconfig' and then look at what programs are automatically starting when you start the computer. I'll bet there's a few things eating up memory that you could do without.
After you dl stuff for your myspace, you might want to try hosting it on photobucket and then getting it off of your drive to save space.
Good luck! Hope something there helps you out!

Computer Slow
Download and then run startup.exe (FREEWARE) at:
http://www.mlin.net/startupcpl.shtml......
Can't live without it and windows...
Then disable and/or uninstall whatever u don't need.
Other things to try:
1 - Disk Cleanup (removal of temp files, cookies, etc.)
2 - Defrag
3 - Registry Cleanup (CAN BE VERY RISKY!)
FROM A HARDWARE PERSPECTIVE THE BEST AND MOST COST EFFECTIVE POSSIBLE UPGRADE (IN GENERAL) IS THE ADDITION OF MORE MEMORY (RAM).
ALL ELSE FAILS - RELOAD YOUR O/S (WINDOWS) AND THEN REINSTALL ALL OTHER PROGRAMS YOU NEED/USE!

In all the answers, i believe only -one- person mentioned it briefly, and I want to tell/remind you that it's also very important to --> defragment <-- your hard drive.
The spyware removal programs are great, but in the end, you have to defragment your computer if you want to fix the sound quality and speed of your computer. :)
Good luck to you.
