To add to the first answer, if it is a "superdisk" the drive itself is IDE. You will have to remove it from the other computer (probably a Compaq?) and install it with an IDE cable - these are the ones that goe to hard drives and CD-Roms (unless you have SATA). You will have to watch the master-slave configuration unless you have an unused IDE connection on the motherboard. If the drive itself stopped working (highly likely) then your superdisk is basically trash as these are no longer made and are hard to find (try ebay if you must have one). As far as your WinXp not having a A: drive - floppy drives are getting to be useless as they cannot hold much. You can install one in most cases but are probably better off buying a USB floppy. No it will not read a superdisk.

Are you talking about an old LS-120 disk, they are about the size of a floppy disk? If so you will have to uninstall the old LS120 drive from your windows 98 computer and install it on your XP computer OR you can copy the files with the old computer and transfer the files using a CD burner or a network connection.
