Something is wrong w/ my computer. Lately, I have been getting alot of pop ups and since then certain websites do not show properly. I started having problems w/ pop-ups after my cousin used my computer to view porn. What should I do to get this corrected? Is there a program that I need to run to stop this? Please help.

I am so new to this, it is overwhelming! I have macafee,anti everything, purchased it when I bought my computer from dell. It was already installed when I got my computer. However 2 days ago I got a "bug" that almost totally shut down my computer. Restored it to an earlier date. Working fine now, but! I am suggested to do this, do that, anti this anti that download this etc etc. I am so serious that this is Beyond stressful!!! I waited literally over 10 yrs to get a computer it is my first! I haven't a clue how to really keep it safe from the ******* who want to put bad stuff into it. I read that in just the last 24 hrs, 68 events blocked, this week 1,675 blocked, but someone is still trying to hack into my computer in Atlanta! Is there anyone who is willing to take the time to tell me step by step, what I can do to keep these bored ******* from ruining something I have waited so long to get? I know it sounds a bit stupid, but I am so new to this it is sickening. HELP!

I purchased norton system works and ghost. when I finaly loaded works the live update did not work. I have spent hours following Symantec's tech. advice and now am left with a computer with no cover and no response from the tech. dept. This problem has been going on for over 3 weeks and all I recieve from tech. is standard letters. I wonder if they actualy read the many emails I have sent. I was trying to transfer into individual files and lost one that was there one day and gone the next. it must of been something I erased trying tro make room. I am running xp and using a cannon sure shot if that helps. Please my heart is breaking they cannot be replaced. I am so mad at myself.

What is the easiest way to copy my favorites folder so that I don't lose my favorite websites when I have to restore my computer. I remember doing it once but I forgot how I went about it. I remember that you can't just copy them as easy as you can other documents,pictures etc..

i have a computer with an extremely small A drive and an extremely large F drive. my ex saved EVERYTHING onto the A drive and now the computer moves at a snail's pace. how do i get major programs like adobe, java, and word onto the F drive without damaging the function of the computer?

You know how in Internet Explorer, the address bar drops down and lists what websites you have been on lately? (I'm not talking about the history) If you type in any letter, it will list all the sites you have been to that start with that letter. Are there any computer geeks out there that know how to get rid of/clear this? That would be great. Thanks!
