However, if you wish to delete search history saved by the browser and auto-filled when you type on the yahoo website, here is the solution:

To clear your history from Internet Explorer:
1. Go to the "Tools" menu.
2. Select "Internet Options."
3. Click the "General" tab.
4. Click the "Clear History" button. To completely disable the history function, set "Days to keep pages in history" to zero.

To clear your history from Mozilla Firefox:
1. Go to the "Tools" menu.
2. Select "Options" > "Privacy" > "History."
3. Click on "Clear." To completely disable the history function, set "Remember visited pages for the last X days" to zero ("0").
4. Click "OK" to exit.

Hope this helps :)

None of that ever worked for me. On Windows Internet Explorer you can hit the history button (or Ctrl H) and delete web pages from your history.

If you mean the previous searches on Yahoo, go to Tools --> Internet Options --> Content --> Auto Complete Button --> Clear Forms.

You have to totally clear out your History using the menu on top of your screen to do that. Simply deleting histories will not accomplish what you want.
If you are using Internet Explorer, click on "Tools", "Internet Options", then click on the "Clear History" button, click "Yes" you really want to do that, then click "OK"
