The FBI like anyone else with skills can hack into whatever they want to usually totally undetected, and unless you are a good techie who can bounce things around to make yourself annonymus, if they really want you they will come and get you...but the FBI isn't intersted in limewire, the commercial recording companies are and they push the justice department via the courts. Look, we all want free unlmited and unhassled music downloads withour all the very sneaky spyware and adware that limewire has already pumped int your machine (they did, yes they did), but you have to stay ahead of the places that are getting checked out. I use a Russian site that charges five cents a song. that way, hey I'm paying for the music, and if the Russians aren't paying the correct royalties, well talk to the Russians and TRY getting them into court.

You're kidding right? Limewire is run by the FBI as a sting operation. Eventually everyone gets caught.

Disable sharing of the files. It's not the FBI who catches you, it's the RIAA...and they seek individual users who are sharing thousands of copyrighted songs.
