Whenever I play at games.com, I get a message that comes up several times that says something about aborting scripts for Macromedia Flash 8. Then it freezes my game. How do I fix this? Do I need to update the Macromedia Flash?

The Internet Watch Foundation has called for more international cooperation to block web sites containing abusive images of children. Given that the government is there to protect and serve us - shouldn't it be their duty to take legal action against any "body" or "company" which stores these images on its servers - such as an ISP?

I'm putting together a publication for my school, and our mascot is the Knight. We're sick of the boring, run-of-the-mill knight head that comes up in all microsoft word clip art but google and yahoo image search is proving to be unsuccessful. Do you have any good clip art sites that would hopefully have something worth while?

I have Yahoo mail and use the POP3 account with it. It just started doing this a few days ago. Also, if I open a browser (firefox) and try to view my yahoo account online and then try to send/receive in Outlook, outlook can't receive anything, but it seems to send okay and also then I no longer can access my Yahoo mail online. Rebooting seems to rectify the matter somewhat, in that I can either get my mail via Outlook or Yahoo web-based, but not both. And Outlook still has the problem of not being able to receive the last byte or two of the last email being received. This is driving me nuts!

I have two Compaq computers at home, connected to a DSL gateway. If I make them hibernate before I go to bed, inevitably one or both will awaken from hibernation during the night. I want to know how to prevent that from happening and why it is happening.

I know that it has nothing to do with the LAN because it happens even if I turn off the DSL gateway, effectively meaning that the computers have no LAN connection at all. It seems like it must be some software, presumably some unwanted junk that HP puts on there, that causes it to wake up on its own. I'm just surprised because I don't know how software can make a computer come out of hibernation or how to find the offending piece of software and nuke it.

Basically when I start to boot up, it'll give me a blank screen. On the second attempt, it'll boot up but give me an error message 'overclocking failed'.
I haven't tried to overclock it.

Hye All,

I just installed my new motherboard (MSI-K8 based) and processor AMD Athlon 2800+

Along with RAM 256MB, but the thing is that display is not coming on the monitor and nor the system is booting.

Fans are working but the monitor only shows dimmed light, and also, red light of the CPU is always on (never blinks)

Please help me out, what could be problem??

I have a Windows 2K user who log-in on Windows 2003 server normally. Through Clt+Alt+Dlelte he changed his password. Now when he log in with the new password to his computer he has a blank blue colour screen. We are unable to restart/logoff etc through Clt+Alt+Dlelte. I am able to login normally the same computer with different user name.

hey guys, everytime i start up a program to download, like limewire or bitcomet, my computer always ends up freezing either eventually, or immediately if the download rate reaches about 200kb/s. im using a custom computer, with asus a8ne mobo, 1 gig ram, 2.4 ghz amd athlon 64, and evga 7800 gt gpu. i have earthlink, but im using an asus wireless card with a linksys router. and i have xp with sp1. i tried limiting download rate to 120 kbs, but still freezes, didnt have any problems at first though, also, i reinstalled my windows after completely erasing everything i had on my hard disk....any help would be very much appreciated! thankss

I just downloaded the Panda anti-virus (90 day trial ) and after installing it realised how much junk such as spyware and adware was detected. I didnt know what spyware/adware meant until Wkipedia helped me out. So it got me thinking two things:

1) whenever you download some anti-virus software do es it automatically say ur computer has some virus etc on it so lulls you into that information technology fear which will ONLY BE resolved by tbuying their £100 anti-virus software

2) which software for anti virus is the best - i mean everyone raves about norton but i have had such problems with it messing up my laptop.it was a good day when i deleted it i felt the laptop breathe a sigh of relief...

anyway let me know what you guys who i am sure know more than me think and any advice what i should do after the 90 days end which will come fast....

one thing for sure despite the pop up blocker i had still a s tupid amount coming up and panda has sorted that all out.....

My Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse are not detected on the system boot screen, but work perfectly fine from the logon screen forward. I have the newest version of iTouch etc. 'Keyboard initialization failure' is a common message now every time I startup. It tells me to press F8 to change the settings. How am I supposed to do that if my keyboard wasn't initialized? If anyone has any suggestions let me know. This is starting to get VERY annoying.
