yes, you lose 5 points, but if you pick a best answer you'll get 3 of them back. so its really like losing only 2 points, in which you can just answer ONE question to get that back too. can you start by picking mine answer as best, since i gave you the info. hehehe.

Click on the number of points you have and you will see the Yahoo system of points and levels. And yes it costs 5 points to ask a question and u get 2 points for answering

Answering a question for every one you ask and pick a "best" on will keep you even.
Answers is set up though to let you easily collect points by allowing you to answer more than you can ask.

Yes it takes five points away! But when you choose a best answer it gives you 3 points back so really in the end you only lose 2 points.
