You know how where the RAM busses are? There's usually 4 of them, right? I have 256MB with a 512MB next to it, and 256MB with an empty bus. I was going to add 1GB, but the guy who sold it to me said he wouldn't reccommend it. He said it would not do anything. He said to buy another 512MB. I was wondering if he was telling me the truth or not. Can someone help me with this?

I need a computer...mine is 12+ years old and probably has a family of trolls living inside at the moment. In fact, I have no idea how this p.o.s. runs internet. Please, please help me. Sometimes the computer will get painfully slow and I will have various programmes just not responding so I have to shut them down. I have a Compaq Presario 5320US with a 1.5GHz Intel Pentium 4 Processor and 512MB of SyncDRAM Total System Memory so I am puzzled as to why I have this problem. My PC is armed with Zonelabs Internet Security Suite / Registry Mechanic / Windows Defender and they give me no reports of spyware, viruses or malware affecting my PC. Please render some assistance to me.
