Can a processor of 800mhz be used on a motherboard of 533mhz?
More specificly, can intel pentium 4 478socket 533mhz 3.0E ghz be used on asus p4pe motherboard?

I asked, What is the activeX control "TODO", on a yahoo page?
When I log into my yahoo account, My internet explorer blocks a activeX control. I get a small dropdown menu at the top of the page (bottom of the browser controls) that says; "This website wants to run the following add-on: 'TODO: ' from 'TODO: (unverified publisher)'. If you trust the website and the add-on and want to allow it to run, click here...
The page loads and everything works fine. however I get answers telling me what ACTIVEX is, Thats not what I asked, I want to know what TODO is....

My computer was working fine last night, this morning, when I click on search and type in amazon - the search comes up and I click on www.amazon.com and the answer comes up - cannot find server - i did the internet options thing, but it still doesnt work.
any suggestions? this isnt the first time it has happened.

Thank you to all of you who helped me come to the conclusion that the problem with my laptop crashing might be the overheating. I was advised that i needed to get the fan running. Only one thing- I dont know how to do so.

i have a intel pentium 4 630 3.0 GHz (LGA775) with 800MHz FSB processor. a MSI 865PE neo 3 mobo, 1GB dual Channel DDR400 (2X512.x16) a Sapphire radeon X1600pro with 512MB GDDR2
a 80GB Raptor SATA Hard drive. and a 300W PSU. it will not even try to fire up...do you think it's a bad mobo? or just not enough juice? there is no power at all.it connected right...the psu is good..all the hardware is new,eccept the mobo.i thought it would at least supply power..and run really crappy but it does nothing! can you help me PLease ive tried every thing!

i am trying to install a artec scanner(ive done it before),but every time i attach it by usb it says "unknown device" so i do all the normal procedures like add hardware wizard and update driver,allthough ive allready installed the driver
so why will it not get recognized,it cant be that i have usb 1.0 sockets as i have run all other usb devices in them including a new freecom external hdd
is there any other ways to install this scanner,and when you buy a u.s.b 2.0 hub will it upgrade my existing slower usb,s so as to speed up my usb connection
the last time i succesfully installed it i had to unplug and plug it in about 100 times before it was recognized
any ideas?
