Download the driver from the internet or select from the list pre-installed with Windows.

goto the Start menu (bottom right on the screen)
select Printers and Faxes
select Add a Printer

follow the prompts and answer the questions based on what type of setup and printer you have

If you go into control panel and then to printers OR into install new hardware often it will walk you through installing it without the CD. Then you can go online and download and drivers you may need.

go to the printers manufactorer website, DL the appropriate drivers for your make and model. Be sure to have your printer unplugged from the computer when you install the drivers, and plug the Printer back in with the USB cable when promted, or when the installation is finished.

If your pc has windows xp, and plug and play, and a usb port you can just plug it in and it will work. When I was installing my Hewlett Packard printer, I got a message to REMOVE the CD and just plug in the USB cord. It was that easy.

If you don't have all of those features on your pc then you will most likely need to download drivers from the company site.

Try going online and getting a driver for it, it may let you install it that way

Depending on the make and model number. Try the website of the company and if it is to old try to google the company and model number for the driver.
