I installed a new Linksys 4port wireless router many months ago and I'm having a really bad connection (via ethernet cable) between the router and the modem. The cables haven't been touched since installed. Do cables degrade over time from use?

I have a Planet Broadband Router model XRT-401D connected to my cable modem. I normally have one computer on one of its LAN ports and also another router (a LinkSys WiFi G) that is on a different area of the house and connects to the first on by LAN to its WAN port.

Every thing was fine untill I powered down the whole system for a holliday trip. Now, When I try to run the computer conected to the first router (Planet) I get IP conflict and have to disconect the LAN cable to the second and run IPCONFIG/RELEASE and IPCONFIG/RENEW.

How can I avoid the IP conflict?

These are the LAN settings on the Planet router (the one connected to the cable modem):

LAN IP
IP Address : 192.168.0.1
IP Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.0
802.1d Spanning Tree : Disabled
DHCP Server : Enabled

Lease Time : Forever

DHCP Server
Start IP : 192.168.0.100
End IP : 192.168.0.200
Domain Name :

Yahoo asks me to retype my user id and pw many times a day when I log on. Why allow me to request Yahoo remembers me only to know, time after time, that Yahoo does not remember me?
I will soon be changing my email provider if this continues.

This is the answer i got for my original question (see end of details). it seems simple enough, but how do i install adobe as my printer? secondly, do i have to buy the software? (i can't save publisher files as pdf). officesuite was also mentioned, but how do i use it to save my publisher as pdf? this is probably easy stuff, but i'm not so swift with this kind of stuff. thanks!

"You should be able to set up the adobe pdf as a printer on your computer (even for the online version or so says their website). If you do that, you should be able to print ANY document you produce in any program to the pdf distiller.

I have the software program on my desk and that's exactly how it works. According to the Adobe website, you can do the same with the online version of the program. "
